Welcome to Apsara – The Designer Studio, a fashion destination in the heart of Golpark, Kolkata, bringing together sarees, Allankar, Indian and fusion wear, western wear, menswear and designer blouses.
Founded by Apsara Guhathakurta on 1st October 2020, the brand was born from her love for fashion, fine arts, Indian handlooms and creative expression.
Meet Apsara Guhathakurta
Apsara is a graduate in Marketing Honours from South City College, Kolkata, a professionally trained Indian Classical Dancer with a Master’s Degree in Odissi, and a former educator with 11 years of teaching experience.
Her journey in fashion and pageantry led her to win the title of Mrs. India Universe 2018, followed by Woman of the Universe 2019. She has also been recognised for her achievements by the Governor of West Bengal and works as a professional Grooming Expert.
Bringing together her experience in education, fashion, grooming and the arts, Apsara created a brand where traditional Indian aesthetics meet contemporary personal style.

We especially look for fabrics that are soft, lightweight, comfortable and easy to drape, with a beautiful fall that makes wearing them effortless.
